I started this Kimono Top 9 months ago, and then I found out I was pregnant and suddenly I didn't have any energy.
This week I finally finished it up in time for my mother-in-law to take it home with her to wrap up for my niece's Christmas present. And here's the matching doll top that goes with it.
I finished a Blue's Clues' Steve Scarf for Alex a few days ago. This is the best picture I could get right now. He's too aware of the camera and was a wiggle worm today.
A friend of mine is getting married soon, and I wanted to make her a quilt to match her living room. She has a gray couch and likes lime and teal with it. I was pleased to find Ty Pennington's gray and lime prints, but was having a harder time matching in some teal. I had found a couple of Denyse Schmidt's Chicopee prints that worked. And right before I started on the quilt, I found some of Ty's newer prints that incorporated some aqua perfectly. For the solids, I used Michael Miller's stone and limeade and Bella Solids horizon blue. I used this Market Street Quilt Pattern again (I learned it's called a disappearing nine-patch). It's an easy and fun pattern, but I think I'm ready to try something new next time!
