Yesterday we went to the Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum. Since it was in Andrew Carnegie's old house, I expected it to be awesome. It so wasn't. They covered up a lot of the wood paneling (nice paneling, not like 1970s paneling) with white walls so they could put displays up. There was even a section where they had painted the wood white. Horror! I expected the house to be more of a feature, like the Frick, which is my favorite museum experience in the city. So skip this one and go to the Frick because it's frickin' awesome.
